Getting to know you.
This passed Saturday I was able to share something that I really enjoy with R and his little sister. We went to the Dia de Los Muertos Festival at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I am absolutely obsessed with anything to do with the Mexican holiday. It's a day where we get to celebrate the lives and passing of our loved ones. The cemetery itself lends its grounds to those who would like to make an altar, there is tons of food and music everywhere. Just a day of pure celebration for the dead. All altars were all absolutely beautiful. R was able to take amazing pictures for me of the whole event which I'm going to upload to my Flickr account sometime soon. At first R and his sister were a bit creeped out and iffy about the whole festival but as we went around to see all the different altars and just the whole ambience, I think they were able to understand the meaning behind it. It was really exciting to be able to share this with R. On our drive home he asked me if I thought that this time last year I would have imagined being able to share the event with someone I really cared about, and I can honestly say I didn't. R has been the biggest surprise this year. I couldn't have imagined being able to share this and so many other things I've been sharing with him to date.

Dear R
Watching you take care of me has been the most adorable thing. Being at work with this damn cold has done me no good. Between you looking through all of your cupboards trying to find cold meds the other night, to your mom giving making fresh squeezed OJ and that rather *tasty(horrid)* tea. Basically that's the most I've been taken care of in a while. All I want to do when I get home from work is throw on your sweater, put on your socks, and sleep 'til you're off work. I probably wont get to see you tonight because its been really cold late at night and me going out in the cold wouldn't be the smartest thing. All i have to say is that these five passed months have been the greatest and I'm seriously the luckiest girl in the world.

Excitement overload!
I decided it was time to start fresh with my journaling.
I want to keep track of everything that goes on from here on out.
Not censoring any of it!
Can't wait to see where this adventure leads.
